The foundation was established in 2017/2018 after the crisis to address the high number of street children and orphans within Juba and its outskirts in South Sudan, with the aim to support and care the vulnerable, orphans, single parent homes and affected communities by offering physical, educational, nutritional, medical mental and emotional needs to the vulnerable in South Sudan. Stand Up Young Africa came in as a response to provide care, support and protect the children and support the community by offering them a safe and secure home, educational support through its facility and scholarship programs to high school and university students and support the community through different initiatives to stabilize these communities. In 2022 the foundation continued to expand its outreach programs realizing that the communities needed more support as the core issues seemed to be neglected. This dream was actualized thanks to the founder and supporting partners who worked tirelessly, the foundation introduced much needed programs in the field of Agriculture to support local farmers and several empowerment programs through microfinancing and completing the Stand Up Young Africa primary school and all-inclusive school.
